Bankura District Magistrate K Radhika Ayyar was involved in an accident on the national highway. Additional District Magistrate (Land and Revenue) Shankar Naskar was a passenger in the same vehicle.They were going to Bishnupur from the district headquarters.

On the way, a pickup van collided with the district magistrate's car on National Highway 60 at Gondar in Ondar.The district magistrate's car was badly damaged. The district magistrate and the additional district magistrate survived for a short time.However, Shankar Babu got a slight head injury and a piece of glass got stuck in his eye.He was rushed to Bankura Sammilani Medical College Hospital where he was given first aid.However, the district magistrate was not hurt much.

The driver and security personnel were also not seriously injured, police sources said.Onda police have seized the pickup van. District Magistrate K, Radhika Ayyar is said to be healthy. On this day, big accidents have been avoided.

But locals believe that such accidents cannot be prevented if the reckless speed of pick-up vans is not controlled along the national highway.
