Yamunanagar: Poster-Making Competition Held at Guru Nanak Khalsa College on World Water Day

Aima Media , Yamunanagar ( Haryana) 21/03/26: Guru Nanak Khalsa College celebrated World Water Day with great enthusiasm by organizing a poster-making competition under the aegis of the Guru Har Rai Ji Eco-Club in collaboration with IQAC. The event was based on the theme “Save Water, Save Life” and witnessed active participation from around 40 teams representing various departments.

Students showcased their creativity through vibrant posters, effectively spreading awareness about the importance of water conservation. Gagandeep from BA 1st Year secured the first position, while Jasmine from MSc Biotechnology and Vansh from BA 1st Year bagged the second and third positions respectively. Consolation prizes were awarded to Divya Meena (BSc Life Sciences, 4th Semester) and Ansh Yadav (BSc Life Sciences, 2nd Semester).

The competition was judged by Dr. Hemant Mishra and Dr. Baljeet Singh, whose expertise added value to the evaluation process. The winners were felicitated by the Principal, Dr. Arvinder Singh Bhalla, who appreciated the students’ creativity and highlighted the urgent need to conserve water for future generations.

The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Amarjit Singh, Dr. Gian Bhushan, Dr. Neelam Behl, Dr. Varsha Nigam, Dr. Amandeep Kaur and Ms. Poonam Bhasin.

Sardar Randeep Singh Jauhar, President of the Managing Committee, appreciated the efforts of the organizers and encouraged them to continue hosting such meaningful initiatives in the future.
