Nadia police recovers fire arms, bombs, manufacturing materials, one arrest.

Dipankar Edbar,Chakdaha (Nadia) : The cops of Chakdah police station recovered a country made gun, one round bullet, bomb-making materials, and two live bombs from Chakdaha area in Nadia on Tuesday, a police officer said. The cops arrested one person from his home during manufacturing bombs, a police officer said.

On basis of sources information, the cops from Chakdah police station raided a home at Durganagar - Natunpally at word 7 of Chakdaha Municipality on Tuesday and recovered the bomb manufacturing materials, 2 live bombs, and a country made fire arms with bullet.

The owner of the home Tarak Mandal (40) was manufacturing the bombs. Police caught him red handed.

The sleuths recovered one country made fire arms, one round bullet, 2 live bombs and manufacturing materials from his possession. Police arrested him.

He will be produced in Kalyani Court on Wednesday, said I.C. Chakdaha, Arindam Mukherjee.

The locals were anxious following the recovery and they suspected that more such weapons might be recovered from the vicinity.
