Chaibasa:Incessant rain in West Singhbhum district disturbed the normal life. Friday, 21 August 2022, 02:49:09 IST

The continuous torrential rains disrupted the normal life of Chaibasa residents.         
News & Image Uploaded: Sunday, 21 August 2022, 02:58:09 IST                                  Due to deep pressure in the Bay of Bengal,three districts of Kolhan division of Jharkhand state (West Singhbhum, East Singhbhum and Seraikela-Kharsawan District ) received continuos torrential rains.According to the Meteorological Department Ranchi, the highest rainfall of 191.6 mm was recorded in Chaibasa, during this continuous torrential rainThe continuos heavy rains disrupted the normal life of Chaibasa residents.The waterlogged in the roads  made difficult for people to move out.The motor vehicles and pedestrians faced problems due to waterlogging.The water level of the Roro and kuju river was also in spate.Due to the rise in water level, water entered the premises of several houses in Chaibasa, especially those which situated on the banks of Roro and Kuju rivers.The continuous torrential rains in West Singhbhum district disturbed the normal life of Chaibasa since last friday night (19 August 2022). However, the water level in the city street was receding since 7 PM since Saturday ( 20 August 2022).
