After taking holy bath in Roro river, taking water and worshiping the lord Shiva at Karani Mandir ( Gandhi Tola, Chaibasa), A group of Kanwariyas left for Murga Mahadev temple on foot.The
Some devotees travell on foot, whereas some such as by motor vehicle/ train to Mruga Mahadev temple for worshiping lord Siva in the last monday of Sawan month.This year the month of Sawan started on 14th July 2022 and will end on 12th 2022.This year the last Monday of Sawan month is falling on 9th August 2022.The distance between Chaibasa and Murga Mahadev temple is around 90 kilometres.The yatra to Murga Mahadev temple was postponed for 2 years due to the Corona period. The Murga Mahadev temple situated at Jharkhand Odisha Border in the foot of Thakurani Hills (Keonjhar district). It is an important tourist destination in the district, surrounded by green forest and beautiful waterfall which flows near by the temple.The devotee taking bath in this waterfall before worship the lord shiva in Murga Mahadev temple.
