On 21 June 2022, The Prime Minister of India , Narendra Modi met the chiefs of the three defense services and inquired about their plans to implement the Agneepath scheme. The Central Government on June 14 announced the scheme for the recruitment of youth in the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force. Since announcement of Agneepath scheme., the protestor protested in various states against the scheme. The country witnessed horrific scenes of violence and arson by protesters from several states.
