Organized an awareness program on human rights, child rights, and community development

February 22, 2026, the Human Rights and Social Justice Forum organized an awareness program on human rights, child rights, and community development in Missamari, Tezpur, Assam. Dr. Barnali Sharma Barua, head of the Human Rights and Social Justice Forum, guided the program's objectives and goals. Dr. Sharma Barua emphasized that human rights and social justice are interrelated for the development of society and the protection of child rights. Dr. Barnali Sharma Barua's main objective was to educate and create awareness among village heads, such as the Gauburah, about the legal and constitutional rights of citizens. Human Rights Village Social Worker Harshjyoti Phukan participated as a resource person. She explained child rights, the JJE Act, sponsorship, and adoption under the JJE Act 2015-16. Sub-Inspector Mr. Dipjyoti Barali spoke about the role of individuals in society in protecting human rights and child rights. All Gauburah and village head parents were present in this awareness program.
