SJVN celebrated the World Environment Day at its Corporate Headquarters today at Shimla. Smt. Geeta Kapur Director (Personnel), administered oath on Environment Conservation to all employees in the benign presence of Sh. S.P. Bansal Director (Civil). The theme for celebrations of current year is Only One Earth.
Addressing the employees, Smt. Geeta Kapur said, “SJVN is contributing significantly to the Sustainable Development of the Nation. We believe in recognizing equal importance to all three pillars of Sustainable Development – Economic Development, Social Development and Environmental Development. Various initiatives of SJVN, such as organizing Satluj Aradhana, Plantation drives at various Projects, Energy-Conservation measures at CHQ and at Projects assist in creating awareness and inculcating environmental sensitivity amongst the masses.” She stated that it is the duty of each one of us to consciously contribute towards reimagining, recreating and restoring the ecosystem, so that we offer a better World to live, to our future generations.
Commemorating Environment Day, SJVN organized Completions amongst employees, which included Photography, Slogan-Writing & Best out of Waste. Smt. Geeta Kapur along with Sh. S.P. Bansal visited the Exhibition Gallery displaying the entries. They also gave away prizes to the winners of Competitions.
