Veedur dam was opened today (07/11/2021)

Veedur Dam, located in Veedur village in Villupuram district's Tindivanam Taluk, is on the verge of reaching full capacity due to heavy rains in the Gingee area yesterday. A door of the dam was opened at around 7 am today due to the continuous influx of water into the Veedur dam and With a full capacity of 32 feet, the Veedur Dam is currently approaching 31 feet. Following this, a flood warning has been issued to the people along the banks of the Sankarabharani river. Excess water is being discharged from the dam.
