Two Drug Peddlers Arrested with Charas-Like Substance by Police Station Mendhar

Continuing its sustained drive against drug trafficking under the Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan, Police Station Mendhar arrested two drug peddlers in separate operations and recovered charas-like substance from their possession.

In the first incident, a police party deployed at New Jaba Bridge, Mendhar, intercepted a suspicious person. During his personal search, approximately 25 grams of charas-like substance was recovered. The accused was identified as Wasid Khan S/o Sharoof Khan R/o Gohlad, Mendhar (24 years). Accordingly, FIR No. 80/2026 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Mendhar and investigation has been initiated.

In another operation at Sangla Mustafa Nagar, a police party apprehended a suspicious person who attempted to flee on noticing the naka checking party. During his search, approximately 12 grams of charas-like substance was recovered. The accused was identified as Inzmam Khan S/o Mohd. Farooq Khan R/o Gohlad (19 years). In this regard, FIR No. 81/2026 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered and further investigation is underway.
