Yogi Adityanath Directs Modernization of Railway Security in Uttar Pradesh

Uttar Pradesh: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued directives to modernize and technologize railway security across the state. Emphasis has been placed on increasing 24×7 CCTV surveillance at railway stations, platforms, and trains. The use of drone monitoring, digital verification, and advanced surveillance technologies has been mandated to enhance security measures.

The Chief Minister has prioritized women's safety and called for improved coordination among the Railway Police (GRP), Railway Protection Force (RPF), and local police. Instructions have been given for swift action against criminals and the implementation of a robust prosecution system. Plans are also underway to improve crowd management during festivals, examinations, and large events. Yogi Adityanath highlighted that over 3 million passengers travel daily on Uttar Pradesh’s railway network, necessitating stronger security through modern technology and trained personnel.
