CPI(M)'s letter to Congress raises questions about INDIA alliance unity: BJP

NEW DELHI: (Jun 7) The BJP on Sunday claimed that fresh cracks have emerged in the opposition INDIA bloc ahead of its meeting on Monday, citing a letter written by CPI(M) general secretary M A Baby to Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge.

Baby has sought clarification from the Congress on claims made by some of its leaders during the Kerala Assembly election campaign that the Left party had an "understanding" with the BJP.

According to sources, in a letter to Kharge, Baby heavily criticised the Congress for its attacks on the CPI(M). Copies of the letter were also sent to other INDIA alliance partners.
