Damanjodi celebrated World Environment Day:- On the occasion of World Environment Day, NALCO Damanjodi and Regional Office State Pollution Control Board, Koraput jointly celebrated Environment Day with great pomp. On the occasion, 100 trees of 'Abhokadu', which is very valuable for the environment, was planted in the vacant land in Sector 3. Later, an awareness program was held in the plant auditorium under the chairmanship of CGM Sanjay Kumar Patnaik. The Chief Guest was Executive Director Amarendra Kumar Mishra, the Honorable Guest was District Pollution Controller Dipesh Kumar Biswal, CGM Dilip Kumar Bagh and All CGMs, workers of labor organizations, NALCO employees, students of various educational institutions, teachers and journalist friends were present. On the occasion of Environment Day, essay writing, slogan, drawing competition was held among the students. Students were awarded. Chief guest Amarendra Kumar Mishra highlighted the scheme of NALCO on Environment Day. Regional Officer Deepesh Kumar spread awareness about plastic waste and environment day through projector. Sushil Kumar Gochayat conducted the program. Farmers were provided with mango, pijuli, lemon, sapeta. Couples who created beautiful gardens and greenery in the A, B,C,D, quarters of NALCO urban area were awarded. NALCO Nursery Officers M R Rath, Sanjeev Kumar Kar and associates helped and cooperated in the program.
