Jaipur SMS Hospitel Faces Severe Patient Care Issues

Jaipur: Concerns have been raised regarding the dire conditions at the SMS Hospitel, where thousands of patients reportedly sleep under open skies daily. A message addressed to Bhajanlal Sharma, Chief Minister Officer (CMO) of Rajasthan, highlights critical deficiencies including delayed investigations, unavailability of blood, incomplete medication supplies, and lack of accommodation for patient attendants.

The message criticizes the existing system as corrupt and inefficient, causing patients to spend months in the facility instead of recovering within 5 to 7 days under proper care. It also notes that many people from Rajasthan and other states come to Jaipur hoping for recovery, but the unhygienic environment adversely affects both patients and their attendants.
