West Bengal Faces Yellow Alert; Panchayat Vacancies and Political Developments Reported
Kolkata: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Kolkata and the entire West Bengal region, warning of potential thunderstorms, lightning, and rain. This alert aims to prepare residents and authorities for possible adverse weather conditions in the coming days.
West Bengal's state government has announced the initiation of recruitment processes to fill 11,154 panchayat vacancies as part of renewed rural development and employment schemes. Additionally, the political scenario in Kolkata has intensified after Assembly Speaker rejected the expulsion of two MLAs on procedural grounds, sparking heightened political discussions.
