Gundala MPTC attends as chief guest at Purushottapatnam village meeting on World Environment Day
Bhadrachalam:05 JUNE 2026
Gundala MPTC Gongadi Venkata Ramireddy attended the village meeting held on June 5 at the Purushottapatnam Gram Panchayat office as the chief guest on the occasion of World Environment Day. Speaking at the event, he reminded everyone that protecting the environment means protecting ourselves. He said that environmental protection requires participation not only from governments but from every village, every household, and every individual. Only by increasing greenery, preventing waste (or avoiding littering), and conserving water can we protect our land.
He listed actions we must take for environmental protection: safeguarding every planted tree, separating wet and dry waste, making the village plastic-free, conserving water, and reducing the use of chemicals. If every person follows these measures properly, then we will have fulfilled our role in protecting the environment. He added that it is the responsibility of each individual to ensure that future generations get pollution-free air and clean water.
The programme was attended by Gundala MPTC Gongadi Venkata Ramireddy, former Sarpanch Budda Adinarayana, Panchayat Secretary Subbayya, several political leaders, and villagers.
