Punjab: Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains expressed sorrow over the suicide of a 17-year-old girl who alleged harassment by her school. The minister indicated that the harassment might be linked to issues such as unpaid fees or other reasons.

He stated that the matter is being taken very seriously, with an FIR registered for abetment to suicide. Strict action has been initiated against the school authorities and all individuals involved in the case, according to Harjot Singh Bains.
