Kolkata: Water Crisis Persists for 12 Days in Hatiara Residential Building

Kolkata: Residents of a multi-storey residential building in Hatiara, Megacity Field, near Jonny Kirana Shop, have been enduring a severe water crisis for the past 12 days due to a broken water pump. Despite repeated complaints, the issue remains unresolved as responsibility for repairs is being shifted among residents and management, with no one willing to bear the repair costs.

The prolonged disruption has significantly impacted daily life, especially affecting elderly residents, women, children, and those with illnesses. Essential activities such as cooking, cleaning, and maintaining hygiene have become challenging. Residents have called upon the building management, property owners, and local authorities to urgently address the problem by repairing the motor and restoring water supply.
