Delhi: Chandan Sharma has highlighted a growing national concern over the rise of unverified social media posts, particularly on Facebook Live, during official work hours. This trend is causing harm to Bharat's cultural fabric and community harmony by bypassing the editorial standards of traditional newspapers and regional media houses. Sharma notes that impulsive posting without fact-checking disrupts workplace productivity and spreads misinformation rapidly across communities.

The foundation points out mental health impacts such as anxiety and depression arising from constant exposure to sensational and unverified content. Research cited by AIMA reveals that directly posting on social media is negatively affecting cultural identity and traditional and ethical practices, especially in Himalayan regions. The organization calls on media practitioners, public officials, and citizens to prioritize credible and verified news sources to preserve Bharat’s cultural values and foster community cohesion.
