Nilachal Hills to Host Ambubachi Mela at Kamakhya Temple
Guwahati: The Ambubachi Mela, one of India's most revered spiritual events, will be held at the Kamakhya Temple from June 22 to June 26. This annual festival attracts lakhs of devotees, saints, and pilgrims from across the country who gather to participate in the unique celebration of faith and devotion.
According to the temple schedule, the observance will begin on the night of June 22, during which the temple will be closed to devotees. The rituals will conclude on June 26 when the temple doors will reopen following the traditional ceremonies. Preparations are underway in Assam to facilitate the smooth arrival and stay of thousands of pilgrims visiting the sacred shrine atop the Nilachal Hills.
