Tikshan Sood Discusses Corporation Election Strategy; Says BJP Will Elect Mayor with Big Majority

Former cabinet minister and senior BJP leader Tikshan Sood said a meeting of the party’s Western Division was held at his residence. Sanju Arora and other senior BJP leaders — Anandveer Singh, Ashok Kumar, former councillor Dr. Bindusar Shukla, Vinod Parmar, Harmesh Lal and Harbhajan Pal — were also present. Applications from candidates for all wards of the Western Division were reviewed. Attendees were urged to work together to ensure BJP candidates win every ward.
At the meeting, Sood accused the Aam Aadmi Party of denying civic amenities to city residents for the past four years. He said large heaps of garbage are inviting disease, residents are already facing shortages of drinking water and power cuts as summer begins, and the city’s broken roads are causing daily accidents. “People have completely turned away from the Aam Aadmi Party,” he added, asserting that even before AAP, the Congress mayor had neglected the city and people are now looking to a BJP-run municipal corporation. He predicted that BJP will install its mayor with a large majority this time.
