MLA Harish Gowda Welcomes Students with School Bags and Textbooks

Mysuru, June 02: The new academic year officially commenced on Monday after the summer vacation, with government schools across the region celebrating the reopening with enthusiasm. Marking the occasion, MLA K. Harish Gowda welcomed students by distributing school bags and textbooks. Speaking at the Taluk-level School Reopening Ceremony and Mega Parents’ Meeting organized by the Block Education Officer’s office and the Block Resource Coordinator’s office for the Mysuru South educational zone at the Government High School in Kukkarahalli, Harish Gowda said that students had returned to school after enjoying their summer holidays.

He noted that government schools provide equal and quality education to all children without any discrimination. Teachers, he said, are committed to addressing the individual learning needs of every student. He also highlighted the support extended by members of the public and philanthropists, whose donations have helped improve government schools and raise educational standards. He urged parents to enroll their children in government schools in greater numbers.

Block Education Officer (BEO) Krishna said that many dignitaries on the dais had overcome poverty and hardship through education and gone on to occupy prestigious positions. He emphasized that government schools today offer excellent educational opportunities and encouraged students to make the best use of them.

Among those present were Vijay Kumar, DPEO; R. Chandra, Headmaster of Government High School, Kukkarahalli; N. Victoria, Headmistress of Government Higher Primary School, Kukkarahalli; city secretary Sudhir; T.P. Suresh; former serviceman Vishwanath; and Mallamma Shashi Pai, among others.
