Bidar Rotary Silver provides free PU education to 50 students


Bidar: At a time when the world was suffering from a major problem called polio, the credit for saving the lives of the world through polio vaccination goes to the Rotary Club. It is truly a joy that such a Rotary Club is going to provide 2 years of free education to 50 poor students today, said Pujya Gurubasava Pattadevaru of Bhalki Hiremath. Speaking at the closing ceremony of the Rice Kalyana Karnataka Youth Conference organized by Rotary Club Bidar Silver Star at the B.V. Bhoomareddy College premises in the city, he said that Rotary Silver Stars have become an ideal for the society by raising money through the Rotary Cricket Tournament (RCPL) and providing education to about 50 poor students. Education is essential for every human being like food, air and water. In this context, he wished that Rotary Silver Star, whose mission is to ensure that no child is deprived of education due to poverty, may it grow even higher. Rotary Silver Star President Adish Wali, who presided over the program, said, "The youth is the strength of this country, and it is the duty of every citizen to use that strength to build this country securely. Therefore, in order to provide some necessary suggestions for that strength, a seminar program was organized by renowned entrepreneurs and experts yesterday and a large-scale job fair was also organized with more than 50 companies. Similarly, 4 months ago, a cricket tournament (RCPL) was organized and 30 lakhs were collected, and today, in collaboration with Gurukul, Shaheen, Diamond, and Sharada colleges, we have provided fellowships for free PU education to 50 poor and talented students of the district at a cost of 1 crore rupees. He said that Rotary Silver Star always organizes such programs so that the people of this region do not feel that they are behind others for any reason. Rotary District Governor M.K. Ravindra said that our Rotary organization has been bearing the entire cost of polio vaccination since 1986 to make the world polio-free. He said that all the clubs in our Rotary Welfare Zone have been doing a lot of social work and have been contributing a lot to various fields including health, women empowerment, education. Rotary 3160 Governor-elect Trivikram Joshi said that with the aim of ensuring that even the last person in the society gets proper education, the work of Silver Star, which is going to provide free PU education to 50 poor students by organizing a cricket tournament and collecting more than 30 lakhs, is truly commendable. He said that he is really proud of Adish Wali, who is doing such organizational power and social work at such a young age. On this occasion, the office bearers of the new Rotary IFRC unit were appointed. And the launch of the new Rotaract Club was launched at B.V. Bhoomareddy College and Karnataka College. Rotary Silver Star Secretary Kiran Samuel proposed the vote of thanks for the program. The program was attended by Rotary IFRC former President K.R.P. Sarathi, IFRC South Zone President Keshav Srinivas Gowda, Hyderabad Karnataka Education Board Governing Board Member Dr. Rajneesh Wali, Assistant Governor of Rotary Welfare Zone Havashetty Patil, District Organizing Secretary Raghu Krishnamurthy, Rotary Silver Star Vice President Anand Kotarki, Project Director Sahana Patil, Treasurer Nihal Singh, Joint Secretary Bhavesh Patel, Directors Manish Sindhola, Naveen Goyal and others were present.
