Delhi CM Rekha Gupta Announces Renaming of Metro Stations and Public Places

Delhi: Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has announced the renaming of several metro stations and public places in the national capital. Rohini West Metro Station will now be called Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital Metro Station, Rohini East will be renamed Rohini Metro Station, and Dwarka Metro Station will be known as Dwarka-Kakrala. Additionally, a new sports complex in Begumpur, Rohini, will be named Atal Khel Parisar, where a statue of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee will be installed. Britannia Chowk will be renamed Ashwini Chopra Chowk.

CM Gupta also approved the proposal to name the under-construction hospital in Jwalapuri as Baba Ramdevji Maharaj Hospital. She emphasized that these changes aim to strengthen Delhi's cultural and historical identity, highlighting that Delhi is not just the administrative capital but also a representation of the nation's cultural, social, and historical consciousness.
