Special Prayers Held in Mysuru for D.K. Shivakumars Swearing-In Ceremony

Mysuru, May 29: Members of the Akhila Karnataka Vokkaligara Sangha, Mysuru district unit, offered special prayers at the historic 101 Ganapathi Temple in Agrahara on Thursday, praying for a smooth swearing-in ceremony of D. K. Shivakumar as Karnataka Chief Minister. As part of the rituals, devotees performed special poojas and broke 101 coconuts at the temple. Members of the Sangha said Shivakumar had remained a loyal Congress worker for over four decades and played a key role as Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president in leading the party to a major electoral victory in the state. The prayers were offered seeking the successful and hurdle-free oath-taking ceremony of the senior Congress leader scheduled for Friday. The programme was led by district president Tejesh Lokesh Gowda and attended by several members and supporters of the organisation.
