Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah to Resign Today at 3 PM

Karnataka: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is scheduled to resign today at 3 PM. Minister Ramalinga Reddy stated that Siddaramaiah will submit his resignation by 3:30 PM and has thanked all ministers for their cooperation.

Reports indicate that Siddaramaiah held a breakfast meeting with ministers and close leaders at his residence on Thursday, where he informed them about his decision. It is expected that Deputy Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar may take over the state's reins following Siddaramaiah's resignation.

Since the 2023 assembly elections, there has been speculation about a 2.5-year power-sharing formula between Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar. Siddaramaiah was appointed Chief Minister and Shivakumar Deputy CM, although the party never publicly confirmed such an arrangement.
