Eid ul-Azha celebrated with religious fervour across Jharkhand; Guv, CM extend greetings

RANCHI: (May 28) The Muslim community across Jharkhand observed Eid-ul-Azha or Bakrid on Thursday, gathering in large numbers at mosques to offer prayers.

Elaborate security arrangements were put in place in state capital Ranchi and other districts to maintain law and order and ensure peaceful Eid celebrations, officials said.

Thousands of devotees turned up at mosques and Eidgahs since morning to perform namaz and celebrate Bakrid, the festival of sacrifice.
