Kanpur South: Tree Falls on 11KV Line Disrupting Power Supply

Kanpur South: Near Samadhi Pulia in the Naubasta police station area, a tree fell on an 11KV high-tension line, causing a complete power outage in the Sagarpuri and Binngawan feeders. Hundreds of homes connected to these feeders lost electricity due to the fallen tree.

The reason for the tree falling is currently unclear. Officials from the KESCO department stated that upon receiving the information, a maintenance team was dispatched to the site. Efforts to remove the tree and repair the line are ongoing. Power supply is expected to be restored within the next 2 to 3 hours, and consumers have been requested to remain patient. The affected areas include Sagarpuri, Binngawan, and nearby colonies, where residents are facing electricity and water supply disruptions.
