Jitendra Singh and Suvendu Adhikari Discuss West Bengal Scientific Collaboration
West Bengal: Honorable Dr. Jitendra Singh visited the Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science (IACS) on its 150th anniversary and held a meeting with directors of CSIR laboratories. The discussion focused on enhancing scientific collaboration between DST, CSIR, startups, and industries in West Bengal.
Following this, Dr. Jitendra Singh met with West Bengal Chief Minister Mr. Suvendu Adhikari to explore opportunities for cooperation in education, technology, and healthcare. Key areas highlighted included healthcare diagnostics, therapeutics, arsenic poisoning, cancer therapeutics, and cell and gene therapy. Dr. Singh proposed a roadmap involving meetings between central and state science secretaries and directors to identify collaboration fields. He also recommended utilizing Jigyasa, the CSIR Skill Development program, to train school and college students on advanced CSIR instruments to improve employability.
