Koraput District Trains Booth Level Officers on Voter Revision Process.

Koraput: A comprehensive training program on “Swatantra Saghana Sambhravanan” was conducted for Booth Level Officers and Observers across all blocks of Koraput district in a phased manner. The training, supervised by Election Registration Officer and Additional District Collector Shri Naresh Chandra Shabar, covered 14 blocks including Koraput, Jeypore, Borigumma, Kotpad, Kundura, Laxmipur, Lamtaput, Narayanpatna, Tutogaon, Dasmantpur, Nandapur, Pattangi, Semiliguda, and Baipariguda. Shri Shabar personally attended and imparted training in Baipariguda Block.

The sessions detailed the objectives of the special intensive revision process, door-to-door revision, nomination paper filling, and voter list updates such as deletion of ineligible voters and addition of new voters. A question-and-answer segment clarified doubts for officers and observers. Shri Shabar emphasized diligence and fostering trust among voters during the revision process. Given the intense heat, officials were advised to carry drinking water and umbrellas and to conduct revision work during cooler hours, while also urging voters to prioritize their health. Assistant Electoral Registration Officers, Tehsildars, Community Development Officers, and other key officials attended the training across all blocks.
