DUDA Koraput Reviews Sunabeda Food and Waste Centers.

Sunabeda: Project Director Duda Koraput and Additional District Collector Tapan Kumar Nayak visited the Sunabeda food center and waste recycling center on 26 May 2026 to review their operations. Duda expressed satisfaction with the food quality provided at the food center, where over 450 beneficiaries receive midday meals for Rs. 5 daily. He requested improvements in drinking water and sanitation facilities.

The officials then inspected the waste recycling center, focusing on wet-dry waste separation, composting, and plastic baling processes. Duda inquired about the earnings of women SHG members from garbage collection and compost sales. He praised the cleanliness maintained by colleagues and SHG women and directed the implementation of 100% door-to-door waste collection in every ward. Sunabeda Municipal Council Executive Officer Sujit Kumar Chowdhury and other staff were present during the visit.
