Central education minister revew the NIPUN bharat mission

Hon’ble Union Minister of Education, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, reviewed the progress of the NIPUN Bharat Mission and deliberated on measures to further strengthen foundational literacy and numeracy across the country in line with the vision of #NEP2020.

The discussions focused on improving foundational learning outcomes enabling children’s smooth transition from foundational literacy and numeracy to higher-order learning competencies, and strengthening implementation under NIPUN Bharat Mission. Stakeholders highlighted the progress of the mission across different regions and shared best practices from the ground.

Since its launch, the NIPUN Bharat Mission has made remarkable progress in strengthening foundational literacy and numeracy through initiatives such as Vidya Pravesh, NISHTHA-FLN, National Curriculum FRamework for Foundational Stage (NCF FS), new-age textbooks and Jadui Pitara - teaching learning materials, along with enhanced parental participation and robust monitoring mechanisms. With strengthened teacher capacity-building and institutional frameworks, the Mission continues to advance inclusive and future-ready foundational learning for every child.
