Fatehpur Ward Faces Water Shortage and Infrastructure Issues

Fatehpur: Residents of Ward Number 3 Baksapur in the Sadar Nagar Palika area have reported severe water shortages during the summer. The ward, which includes Radha Nagar Purvi Nai Basti connected to Baksapur, has seen the construction of over 500 houses along the canal embankment on the eastern side. However, the water supply has been inadequate, causing significant hardship for the local population.

Additionally, the roads in this neighborhood remain unfinished and are still unpaved, resulting in severe waterlogging during the rainy season. This situation creates difficulties for school children and residents in commuting. The ward also lacks any government schools, which residents say is essential for the education of children from poor families. They have requested the state and central governments to address these issues by completing the road work, ensuring water supply, and establishing at least one primary and one junior government school to support the community's educational needs.
