Allegations of irregularities in road repair works: Action demanded against officials

Bidar: The Karnataka Praja Shakti Samiti District Ghat today submitted a request to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah through the District Collector to take legal action against the officials of the Panchayat Raj Engineering Department on the charges of misappropriating government funds without undertaking any road repair works under the Chief Minister's Rural Road Development Scheme for the year 2025-26 in Bidar district.

The complaint mentions that no work has been done on many roads including Aliabad village to Janwada in Bidar taluk, Aliyambar village to Yaranalli village and Sunkanal Cross to Sunkanal village in Aurad (B) taluk, and Nagura Bhabaji Cross to Chandar Maharaj Thanda.

The office bearers of the association have demanded that appropriate legal action be taken against Executive Officer Shivajirao Done, Assistant Executive Officer Kalimuddin and Assistant Executive Engineer Sunil Chirllage and they be dismissed from service in this regard. They have also demanded that action be taken to return the government money to the government treasury.

District President Sai Shinde, City Unit President Vinod Shinde, District Vice President Mahendra Kumar Hosamani, Taluk President Guru Nematabad, Youth Leader Veeresh Bhore and Student Unit President Akash Trimukhe, Sanju Kumar and others were present on this occasion.
