Seven-Day "Azmat-e-Qurbani" (Grandeur of Sacrifice) Program Concludes Successfully Under the Auspices of the All India Muslim Intellectual Society

Lucknow: The seven-day "Azmat-e-Qurbani" program, organized for the first time under the banner of the All India Muslim Intellectual Society, concluded successfully. The program was held from the 1st to the 7th of Dhul Hijjah at Masjid Ibrahimi, Agha Mir, Lucknow. Various esteemed scholars delivered speeches on the virtues of sacrifice (Qurbani), Islamic symbols, sincerity, the status of the noble companions (Sahabah), and the responsibilities of the Ummah. A large number of men and women attended the program.

Day 1: Maulana Jahangir Alam Qasmi, President of Falah-e-Darain, Lucknow, spoke about the attributes and perfections of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and emphasized the importance of the grandeur of sacrifice and religious symbols.

Days 2-3: Maulana Salman Siddiqui Nadvi delivered insightful talks over two consecutive days on faith, worship, sacrifice, the virtues of the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah, and various aspects of social reform.

Days 4-6: For three consecutive days, Dr. Mufti Muhammad Idris shed light on the objectives and message of Qurbani, as well as the religious responsibilities of Muslims in the current circumstances.

Concluding Session: Addressing the final session, Maulana Jahangir Qasmi explained the Quranic verse: "Say, 'Indeed, my prayer, my rites of sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the worlds'" (Surah Al-An'am, 6:162). He stated that a Muslim's entire life should be dedicated to seeking Allah's pleasure. He emphasized that all religious services must be purely for the sake of Allah's approval. Maulana Qasmi also discussed important rulings regarding Qurbani and presented reasoned arguments in defense of the noble companions (Sahabah). He remarked, "The Sahabah are like guiding stars for us; we must follow them. Their mutual differences are a mercy for the Ummah."

Prominent Attendees: The program was attended by several office bearers, including Dr. Ammar Anis Nagrami (General Secretary, All India Muslim Intellectual Society), Dr. Mufti Muhammad Idris (Secretary), Mr. Muhammad Mukhtar Qasmi, Hafiz Muhammad Adeel Siddiqui, Mr. Hammad Nagrami, Mr. Ahmad Nagrami, Mr. Haji Kamal, Advocate Suhail, Mr. Muhammad Zahid, Mr. Muhammad Musharraf, and Mr. Ahmar Siddiqui.

The event concluded with prayers for the peace and security of India and the entire world, particularly for the oppressed Muslims of Palestine. Special prayers were also offered for the safety, security, and peaceful performance of rituals by the pilgrims (Hujjaj) during the Hajj.

Dr.Ammar Anis Nagrami, General Secretary of the All India Muslim Intellectual Society, extended special thanks to all the esteemed scholars who dedicated their valuable time to guide the Ummah and participate in the program. He also expressed gratitude to all the men and women who attended and contributed to the program's success. He further prayed, "We ask Allah Almighty to continue this blessed gathering every year so that people may continue to benefit from it."
