Kolkata, May 26, 2026 — Chayanat (Kolkata) successfully hosted the prestigious Nazrul Puraskar 2026 award ceremony yesterday, May 25, 2026. The event was a heartfelt tribute to the legendary poet Kazi Nazrul Islam, drawing a vibrant audience of literature and music enthusiasts.
The ceremony took place at the Upendrakishore Sabhagriha, located within the Jogen Chowdhury Centre for Arts (opposite South City Mall).

The Honoree: The prestigious Nazrul Puraskar 2026 was conferred upon the distinguished scholar Bidushi Anusuya Mukhopadhyay, in recognition of her outstanding contributions to the cultural sphere.
Conceptualization and Direction: The entire program was conceptualized and directed by Somrita Mallick, whose vision guided the seamless flow of the tribute.
Artistic Performances: The evening featured a rich tapestry of performances, including solo renditions by a host of talented artists, and a special presentation by Shabdobihang (featuring Susmita Sengupta and Rakhi Patra Naskar).
