Jharkhand Administration Issues Directives to Ensure Drinking Water Amid Heatwave
Jharkhand: In response to the escalating heatwave and rising temperatures across the state, all Deputy Commissioners, Police Superintendents, Station Heads, COs, BDOs, Panchayat representatives, and government offices have been instructed to ensure adequate drinking water arrangements outside their offices and at public places. Clear signage must be displayed to inform the public and provide relief to travelers and residents.
All Deputy Commissioners are directed to promptly address any water scarcity by arranging water tankers, repairing hand pumps, and implementing alternative measures wherever necessary. The administration emphasizes collective responsibility to prevent inconvenience due to lack of drinking water in any village, locality, or neighborhood. The government urges all officials to act with sensitivity, readiness, and a humane approach during this severe heat period, prioritizing public welfare.
