Surya Narayan Tripathi, the Irrigation Department's Superintendent Engineer has been felicitated

A grand farewell felicitation meeting was organized by the farmers at the Odisha Lift Irrigation, Office premises in Bargarh today. Farmers from various blocks of the district were present in this felicitation meeting and honored Surya Narayan Tripathi with a bouquet, Uttariya and a certificate. Shri Tripathi started working in Bargarh district as a junior engineer in 1986 and after working as an executive engineer for many years, he has now retired as the Superintendent Engineer (Northern Mandal). During his long tenure in Bargarh district, he made his department free from corruption and directly understood the problems of the farmers and took immediate steps towards their solution. Due to which he became very popular with the farmers. He also had a very close relationship with the farmers. In this felicitation meeting, prominent farmer leader and convenor of Western Odisha Farmers' Organization Samanvay Samiti, Lingraj Lingraj said that nowadays such a sincere, honest, corruption-free public officer is rarely seen. He has a special role in making his office corruption-free. It is a matter of happiness for us that he will be staying in Bargarh after his retirement. He has already started the process of creating an organic vegetable market to stay connected with the farmers even after retirement. This is a matter of happiness for all of us, said Lingraj. Among others present in this felicitation meeting were Jai Kisan Movement District President Sushil Kumar Sahu, farmer leader Jayakrishna Sahu, Kishore Debta, Ishan Bhoi , while Jai Kisan Movement General Secretary Har Bania , Arun Kumar Sahu, Subash Chandra Bhoi, Bishnu Prasad Sahu, Harishankar Pradhan , who praised the work of the Tripathy .
