UP man sentenced to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment for raping minor stepdaughter

MEERUT (UP): (May 23) A court here has sentenced a man to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment for raping his minor stepdaughter in 2021, the prosecution said on Saturday.

In the order pronounced on Friday, the court of Additional District Judge (POCSO Act) Mohammad Babar Khan found Vinod, a resident of Beta village in the Incholi police station area, guilty of raping the girl, who was 10 years old at the time of the incident, the prosecution said.

The court sentenced him to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 7,000 on him.
