Individual Arrested For Sending Footage Of Military Troop Movements To Pakistan Via CCTV Cameras

Pathankot, Punjab | May 22 | AIMA Media Update : A new digital conspiracy orchestrated by a neighboring country to compromise India's border security has been exposed in Punjab. Police have recently arrested an individual who illegally installed CCTV cameras along national highways and was transmitting live footage of military troop movements directly to Pakistan. While three other individuals assisted him in this operation, the police are currently making vigorous efforts to apprehend them as well.

The Punjab Police have successfully dismantled a massive international espionage network operating from across the border, which was specifically targeting India's defense infrastructure. The Pathankot Police arrested an accused individual who was relaying highly sensitive information regarding the movements of the Indian Army and paramilitary forces to handlers based in Pakistan. Investigations revealed that the accused had specifically installed CCTV cameras along the Pathankot-Jammu National Highway (NH-44) and was electronically transmitting live footage of the movement of defense forces' vehicles to operators located in Pakistan as well as in other foreign countries.

Orders from Dubai For Covert Surveillance On The Highway :

According to the police, the Sujanpur police have taken into custody an individual named Baljit Singh, alias Bittu, a resident of Chak Dhariwal village in the Pathankot district. The accused confessed to having installed an internet-enabled CCTV camera at a shop located on the highway near Sujanpur in January of this year. Police Officer Daljinder Singh Dhillon, PPS (who has officially assumed the role of SSP Pathankot), stated that this surveillance setup was established acting on orders received from an unidentified individual in Dubai, and that the accused received Rs. 40,000 in exchange for this service. The police have seized a Wi-Fi router and the CCTV camera from the accused. Furthermore, the police have registered a case against three other individuals Vikramjit Singh, Balwinder Singh, and Taranpreet Singh along with Baljit, and are currently conducting an investigation. In particular, they are actively conducting an intensive search for the other three accused individuals.
