JKCA Appoints Vijay Sharma to Cricket Advisory Committee

Jammu: The Jammu & Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) has appointed Mr. Vijay Sharma as a member of the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) following the recommendation of the Member — Cricket Operations and Development and approval by the Sub-Committee.

Mr. Vijay Sharma will join former J&K cricketers Mr. Abdul Qayoom and Ms. Meenu Singh Slathia, who are already serving on the CAC. A former First-Class cricketer and long-serving captain of the Jammu & Kashmir Ranji Trophy team, Sharma brings extensive playing and leadership experience. He represented J&K in 44 First-Class matches, taking 107 wickets including five five-wicket hauls, and has also played for the North Zone in the Duleep and Deodhar Trophy competitions.

His tactical skills and understanding of regional talent development are expected to support JKCA's efforts to nurture emerging players and enhance the state's cricket structure. JKCA expressed optimism about Sharma's contributions to player development, selection guidance, and strategic planning for the future of cricket in Jammu & Kashmir.
