Successful District Folklore Celebration in Chondi Village
Bidar: The District Folklore Celebration Program was held on Wednesday at Lakshmi Mata Mandir in Chondi village, organized jointly by the Karmabhoomi Folklore Society (R) Chondi and the Kannada and Culture Department, Bangalore. The event was inaugurated by Sadguru Jagadeeshwar Maharaj and presided over by former Gram Panchayat member Gurupadaiah Swami, who praised the Karmabhoomi Art Team for their dedication to folk art and highlighted the importance of continuing such programs.
The program also included the presence of former Gram Panchayat member Ghaleppa Kalshetty, P.K.P.S. Director Nazir Ahmed Fakir Ahmed, and priest Panduranga Maharaj of Mahatma Mabomgondeshwara Temple. Retired Gram Panchayat Development Officer Chandrashekar Patil emphasized the need for prioritizing support to folk artists over financial aid. The event featured various folk performances by Manohar Huppala, Nagamma Marakhal team, Reshimbai team, Shobha Chondi team, Dilip Kadava team, and Kallappa team, which were well received by the audience. Shankar Chondi welcomed the program, with presentations by Dilaima Andura and a vote of thanks by Shivaraj Tadapalli.
