On Tuesday afternoon, the Meteorological Department sent mobile alerts warning residents to stay cautious due to the heatwave. The scorching sun and hot winds have compelled people to remain indoors. Markets saw crowds gathering at shops selling curd, lassi, cold drinks, and sugarcane juice. The administration has urged citizens to avoid unnecessary outdoor activities and to increase fluid intake to stay safe.
