Hoshiarpur/ May 20/Daljeet Anjoha Member Parliament Dr Raj Kumar Chabbewal has announced that the Kandi region would soon get three bridges to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 20 Crore thus fulfilling long pending demands of the region.

Stating that these bridges would ensure smoother connectivity to commuters, MP Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal said that these bridges would be constructed over Badla Choe, Manjhi Choe, and Bhangi Cho. The construction work for these projects is scheduled to be initiated within a few days, which once completed would prove to be immense beneficial for the residents of the Kandi. He said that this was long pending demand of Kandi residents when he was MLA and now the Aam Aadmi Party government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann had given approval as well as releasing requisite funds since all the formalities were accomplished.


Highlighting the hardships of people especially during rainy days, Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal asserted that the construction would provide a permanent solution to the recurring problem. He stated that the Rs 6.46 crore would be incurred over Badla Choe, Rs. 5.93 crore over Manjhi Choe bridge and Rs. 8.11 crore over Bhangi Choe. Besides this, Dr. Chabbewal said that the Kandi region was also witnessing extensive road renovation with mostly roads were being widened to 18 feet to ensure that residents do not face any inconvenience while commuting. MP Dr. Chabbewal stated that the Aam Aadmi Party government has worked in the interest of every section of Punjab's society including industrial, agricultural, power sector, social security, education, healthcare and the strengthening of infrastructure. Dr. Jatinder Kumar, Sarpanch Surinder Singh, Kashmiri Lal, and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
