Gatka Training Camp for Three Months Launched at Gurdwara Shaheedan Ladhewal, Mahilpur

A three-month Gatka training camp has been inaugurated at Gurdwara Shaheedan Ladhewal, Mahilpur. The initiative was organized by Sahibzada Baba Ajit Singh Gurmat Vidyala, Dansiwal Singh Welfare Society, Mahilpur-Garhshankar Chabbewal, with support from the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee.
Manager Bhupinder Singh and Jathedars Lakhvir Singh Dansiwal and Iqbal Singh Kherra said the program was started in response to requests from the community to equip children with skills to protect themselves in the future. They emphasized that alongside modern secular education, religious instruction and weapon arts should also be considered essential. The organizers stressed that learning weapon skills is necessary for girls as well as boys.
Training for boys will be conducted under the guidance of Jathedar Lakhvir Singh Dansiwal. Girls will be trained by Tarnpreet Kaur Khalsa, assisted by Dilpreet Kaur, Harshdeep Kaur and Sheetal Kaur.
Those present at the inauguration included Tarlokhan Singh Sakruli, Paramjit Singh Meghowal, Harbans Singh Sarhala, Gurjinder Singh Sarhala, Jagmohan Singh Haveli, Ranveer Singh secy, Davinder Singh Bahowal, Arshveer Singh Khalsa, Surjit Singh Gill, Jaspal Singh Khanpur, Manbir Singh Chamblan, Satnam Singh Nangal, Ravinder Singh Nonan Bhuno, Paramjit Singh Pama Bahowal, Iqbal Singh Jandiala, Prince Singh Jandiala, Malkeet Singh Kataria, Amarjeet Singh Khushwant Singh Meghowal, Dalveer Singh Babbu Bains, Gurmukh Singh Sodhi, Vikram Singh and others.
