SSP Samba Leads Thana Diwas to Combat Drug Menace

Samba: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Samba, Sh. Anuj Kumar-IPS, presided over Thana Diwas at Police Station Ghagwal as part of the Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan. He urged the public to actively support the Police in eliminating the drug menace from society. The event saw participation from prominent citizens, youth, and local residents, aiming to strengthen Police-public relations and address citizens' grievances.

SSP Anuj Kumar emphasized the serious threat posed by drug abuse to the younger generation and called for collective efforts to eradicate it. He advised citizens to remain vigilant, share information about drug peddling, install CCTV cameras, and verify tenants and workers through local Police Stations. Strict action was promised against those involved in drug trafficking, bovine smuggling, and other crimes. The programme also included DySP Hqrs Samba, SHO PS Ghagwal, Incharge PP Rajpura, and other Police Officers, with similar events held at other Police Stations in district Samba.
