Samba Police Book Notorious Drug Peddler Under PITNDPS Act

Samba: May 20, 2026: Continuing its sustained crackdown against drug peddlers and smugglers, Samba Police has booked Abhishek Attri S/o Dayal Parshad R/o Ward No. 11, Samba, under the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (PITNDPS) Act. Abhishek, a habitual offender involved in multiple NDPS Act cases at Police Station Samba, has been detained and lodged in District Jail Bhaderwah for his continuous involvement in illegal drug trafficking.

SSP Samba submitted a detailed dossier to the Divisional Commissioner Jammu, which led to a formal detention order under the PITNDPS Act. Samba Police reaffirmed its commitment to taking stringent action against drug peddlers to curb the drug menace and ensure public safety, particularly protecting the youth from narcotics-related threats.
