RLD Leader Condemns Demolition of Gujjar-Bakarwal Houses in Jammu

Jammu: Mohammad Anees Choudhary, General Secretary of the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) Jammu and Kashmir unit, has strongly condemned the ongoing demolition drives targeting the Gujjar and Bakarwal communities in Jammu. He described the administration's actions as inhumane and unjust, highlighting the displacement of vulnerable families without alternative arrangements. Choudhary expressed concern for elderly citizens, helpless women, and children left exposed to harsh conditions.

Choudhary defended the nationalist credentials of the Gujjar and Bakarwal communities, emphasizing their sacrifices and loyalty to the nation. He noted their role alongside the Indian Army and their traditional harmony with nature. The RLD J&K unit has demanded an immediate halt to the demolitions and called for comprehensive rehabilitation, warning that the party will support the community in their fight for justice.
