Mahilpur police seize Rs 10,000 drug money, recover 12.708 kg poppy husk case registered/SHO Ramndeep Kaur

Acting on directions from the Punjab government to intensify action against narcotics, a special drive led to the seizure of cash and a large quantity of poppy husk in Mahilpur on Sunday.
Under the guidance of Senior Superintendent of Police Sandeep Kumar Malik, IPS, and with assistance from Deputy Superintendent Daljit Singh Khakk, P.P.S., Inspector Ramandeep Kaur, Station House Officer of Mahilpur, was on patrol and checking duty at Adda Rampur Jhanjowal on May 17 when an informer warned that Daljit Singh alias Manga, son of Harnam Singh, resident of Chak Nariyal, Mahilpur police station area, Hoshiarpur district, was operating a poppy husk (doda/chura/posta) selling business from his home.
Police conducted a raid at the suspects residence and recovered narcotics money amounting to Rs 10,000 and 12.708 kilograms of poppy husk. A case has been registered and further interrogation is underway.
