Om Birla lauds PM Modi on being conferred Sweden's highest honour

NEW DELHI: (May 18) Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Sunday congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on being conferred Sweden's highest honour, and said the prestigious recognition reflected his visionary leadership and India's growing global stature.

Modi was awarded the "Royal Order of the Polar Star, Degree Commander Grand Cross" by Sweden on Sunday, in recognition of his exceptional contributions to bilateral ties and visionary leadership.

"Heartiest congratulations to Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji on being conferred the 'Royal Order of the Polar Star, Commander Grand Cross' by Sweden, the highest honour bestowed upon a Head of Government," Birla said on social media platform X.
